There are no figures available for these racks as regards loading. In terms of a 3kg compressive force they would we suspect be fine. Of more concern is the reaction force against the teeth to move such a load and that would depend on your drive chain to overcome this inertia.
Might be worth a try.
Are the racks suitable to be bent around the edge of a circle...say 600mm wide with the teeth facing upwards?

These racks are rigid and not intended to be flexed. Being plastic they can be gently formed but we are unable to advise whether they would meet your requirements. Might be worth you buying a couple and have a play.
I believe this thing is perfect but I need a gear for it as well and my shaft diameter is 1.5mm the the mounting hole diameter must be the same is there any way to find one for me and sending me the spec?
