Id like to know if there is any information about what amount of tooth overlap is most efficient for the MOD gears?

I am machining a CNC plate to mount the gears and build a gearbox. The gearbox needs to have max efficiency.

Any information is appreciated! Thanks

Wai,

If you refer to our data sheet http://www.technobots.co.uk/Data%20Sheets/4200-004.pdf you will see the DP figures for each size gear. take the DP figures for the two gears you are meshing, add them togther and divide by 2, this gives the optimum centre to centre spacing for the two gears.

Thanks for the advice.

Just one more thing before i buy: Can i mesh Tbot MOD gears with MOD gears? Is there any dimensional difference between the two?

As long as they are of the same MOD, no problem.
