Hello Travis,

The published articles for the RRC finished a couple of years ago now. Regretfully we no longer supply these controllers ready built due to a relatively low demand for them. It is possible that we still have some PCB's left but we certainly have plenty of components left over. All of this is of little use without the pre-programmed PIC chip of which cannot be sold without permission of the original designer who has royalty rights.

This all amounts to a far amount of effort and you may wish to pursue alternative controllers such as our Electronize range. If you do, we would be happy to recommend one. If you still wish to go down the RRC board route, let us know and we will see what we can do. From memory, a complete kit was some £70 but would now be sold as new but without warranty. This is because we had too many poorly assembled boards by customers returned with no fault other than soldering faults etc.

hello i'm yoeri.
and i'm building the same robot as travis...
And i need a speedcontroller also.
Do you have any pbc's left (or just a pbc lay-out so i can make the pbc myself), a part list so i can store the parts myself, and a pre-programmed PIC chip. Thats all i need...

let me know if you have the stuff.

thanks. yoeri

Yoeri,

We will contact the designer of the speed controller to check if the pre-programmed chip is still available for release. We will Email you as soon as we get an answer.

Yoeri

We still have a few PCB's available and programmed chips as well as all of the components. Bare boards with chip are £34.95 and a complete kit of parts would be £78.95. Instructions are included with both kits.

ok,

can you give me only the print lay-out(if you have it) so i can make the PBC's myself...
Would it be cheaper than? because a MD22 controller (that does the same as the controller from rex they say) costs 40 ponds whit all the parts installed.

And what about the shipping costs...I live in the Netherlands how much is the shipping cost than.

let me know what you can do for me.

thanks, yoeri

Yoeri.

PCB layout is not available although we do know that some builders have made PCB's of their own by copying an original but with wider power tracks. I would not recommend the MD22 with wiper motors without some modification i.e. heat sinks. We recommend the Electronize 15A CPU controllers, the 30A controllers and the 30A with external relays with wiper motors. You should be aware that not all wiper motors are the same and many second hand ones can be rather noisy (electrically).

At the time of writing, we do not ship to non-UK addresses, this is especially the case of The Netherlands where too many parcels did not arrive at their destination.

Regards

Paul

Yoeri,

Please see our section titled 'General Speed Controller' in this FAQ section which should help with your understanding of the differences. The main differences being rating, number of channels and on-board mixing.

Hi, first sorry for my english, it's many poor.

I had been redirected to this page by www.realrobots.co.uk and I have been looking for diagrammes of the microcontroller and the speed controller for Cassius junior but I don't find anything.

Can you give me the link, please?

Thanks

Hello Fernando,

This product was discontinued some years ago and all rights to the design, PCB and software remain with the designer so we cannot release them sorry.
