A 4mm diameter 'O' ring with an internal diameter of 170mm. Made from Nitrile (NBR N70) rubber which is ideal for use as a drive belt on our wooden, plastic and aluminium 'V' pulleys. Suitable for use up to 70 Deg C.
How much tension in mm should there be in the pulley ?
The approximate length for a pulley belt i require is 590mm will i be able to stretch this pulley to this length (56mm stretch) and if so will this be appropriate for a pulley mechanism

We do not have any particular rules for how much tension, basically it should be sufficient to stop belt slip and that does not require much tension. Your figures about to a 10% stretch on the belt length which is far too much in my opinion, I would guess at 1-3% would be about right.
