Craig,

We are expecting a pallet of Haze batteries this Friday. We are not going to do a Gel at the moment but a deep discharge AGM as it offered better performance for fast discharge than the Gel's. The Haze part number is HZB-EV-12-18, our part number is still to be decided but expect them on the website within the week. Haze batteries have been used in at least one heavyweight some time ago but of course, heavyweights nowadays are going all posh with expensive lithium batteries. Given a choice, I would go back to SLA's but I cannot lose 6kg to do it. Price to be decided but our old prices did not include a number of suppliers prices rises due to the rising cost of lead. Hopefully they will end up not being that much more then the Europa range.

Hi I have a Haze 18 amp hr battery and was wondering what the internal resistance of the battery was. I am running Bosch 750 motors at 24v through a Wotty 180 and was wondering what the real stall current was for this setup. And the likely torque as a result.

Thanks

Craig,

Sorry but we do not have that data, just the CCA of 214A but the terminal voltage at this current is not specified.

The batteries we supply are the EV version of the HZB, a standard HZB-18 has a short circuit current of 732A with an internal resistance of 11mOhms so that may be indictative of what you can expect.

Craig, unfortunately the new delivery of batteries we received were of the incorrect type and are thus trying to get them exchanged. This is proving difficult because they came in on a pallet. Hopefully not too long.

Craig, We have been on the phone this week with the manufacturer trying to get a resolution. We are keen to stay with Haze as their batteries have proved to be very good but at some point we may have to source from a different manufacturer. The incorrect batteries have still to be collected but it is a priority for us to get it sorted.

Sorry Criag but no change in the position which is highly frustrating. We still have the incorrect stock here which does include HZB12-18 see http://www.hazebattery.com/HZB6&12/default.htm for details. If these are of interest let me know.

Kind regards

Paul
