This depends on the model of speed controller. You require one Electronize / 4QD controller for each motor you want to control the speed of. You can parallel up motors on the same controller but they will all try and go at the same speed.

Our Roboteq controller and Rex's Robot challenge controller are 2 channel devices that can independently control 2 motors.
