What type of plastic are your spur gears made from? more specifically product number 4600-001. Will 'polystyrene cement' glue hold them together with any degree of strength? |

Luke, We have checked the data sheets we have on file and they do not specify the type of plastic used for the spur gears. All we can suggest is to purchase some and try them out with different adhesives. Sorry we cannot be any more specific as we have not tried any adhesives on them ourselves. |

Regarding a similar question on the plastics used for gears 4600-001, I have purchased some crown gears 4600-040. I know that you checked the data sheets for part 4600-001 and could not find information pertaining to the gear material. Could you please check this for part 4600-040 and if no information exists, put me in contact with the manufacturer? Kind regards, Mr R Sellen |

Richard, Sorry but we do not have this information either. The gears are supplied by MFA who can be found at http://www.mfacomodrills.com/motors/motors.html They may be able to help, although their website does not state the material. It appears as though the material used for this small range of gears is important for some users so we will also try and find out. |
