The DE-SWADJ3 is a larger version of our DE-SWADJ (1062-021) adjustable step down voltage regulator. Previously it was necessary to put multiple DE-SWADJ units in parallel to achieve ratings over 1A, which was bulky, expensive and carried with it a considerable increase in dropout voltage. The DE-SWADJ 3 is designed to be stronger, faster and better. It can process 3A of current, typical ripple is 25mV and under ideal circumstances the regulator can be up to 96% efficient.

I agree, it is not clear from the datasheet. The graphs suggest 2V minimum drop volts but I would have been happier to have seen a definitive statement. There is no suggestion that this model can step up so best to work on 2 or even 3 Volts."

"Hi i am interested in one of your product switching regulator "DE-SWADJ3" for usb charging electronics. i have a question regarding the input and output voltages. After i adjust the output voltage to 5v and suppose i disconnect the input "power" and when i connect again will the out needs to adjusted again or it will still outputs 5v?
