Hello

I’m not that up on my electronics, so I apologise if this post seems daft.

I’m interested in the RE 975D 75W Planetary Gbox 4:1 1 - Part No: 1450-320

On the MFA website it states the unit has an output watt of 41.3W and on your site it states 75W. Also on the MFA website it states that the 4:1 operates at 1750RPM at 12V and on your site it states 3064RPM.

I’m looking for a 12V geared motor at the 75W range. I need to turn a shaft at maximum 1000RPM so I need to know the geared speed to match the correct timing pulleys.

If you could help me on this matter I would appreciate it.

Thanks

Chris Scott

Hi Chris,

Our specs were given in writing to us direct by MFA. I have spoken to MFA today and they are investigating. As soon as they reply, I'll post here. If the motors are now only 41.3W, we will most likely discontinue them.

Regards

Paul

Hi Paul

Well for our experiment I purchased the unit with the 104:1 gearbox to guarantee torque, while sacrificing speed. Thank you for contacting MFA to resolve the matter, it will help use to see if those units would be suitable in the future.

Best regards

Chris

Chris, MFA have got back to us to confirm the initial specifications we were given were incorrect. We have updated our website although we have found what we suspect is another error in the spec for the 104:1 box. MFA is confirming that at the moment but we have published what we believe to be the correct rpm.

Thank you for pointing it out to us.

Regards

Paul
