"Henry,
These geared motors are supplied as a fully assembled unit and as such we are unable to advise on their internals. As to whether you will be able to remove the gear may well be possible but we cannot say if you would be able to do so. Chances are it is an interference fit on the shaft.
If you look at the spec on our website for the RE280 motor, it states a 2mm shaft but as above, we cannot advise if that is the case for these geared motors."

"I need a 100:1 gear system though would like to use my own Meccano motor which has a 4mm shaft. Will I be able to remove the gear system off of this one? What input shaft size does it have?
If not this one, is there another?
