Check the battery voltage when operating the servo, I am wondering if the motor start current is dropping the voltage too much resulting in a jerky response. The batteries should be Alkaline rather than Zinc."

All of our servos work using the industry standard 1-2mS pulse. This controller like all of our servo controllers give out the 1-2mS pulse. Thus any of our servo controllers will drive any of our servos. You should appreciate that the size of the servo has nothing to do with the 1-2mS control signal. The controller does not provide power to the servo, that comes from your battery supply."

"Standard servos assume a position based on the signal sent to it. This signal is compared internally to a potentiometer mechanically linked to the output shaft. The servo also has mechanical stops that limit travel to there or about 120 degrees. Standard servos will not rotate continually.

Hacked servos, or special servos designed for continuous rotation have the mechanical stops removed and the potentiometer removed or made ineffective. These continuous rotation servos are not designed for positional control without the introduction of external feedback. They are normally intended for use as a simple RC controlled motor drive unit. The input signal now sets the motor speed and direction and is frequently used for small robots.
