Anyone know if the pillow block 4253-012 is self-aligning?

Yes they are, naturally the bearing is tight in the housing but they will align.

Ben,

They are basically the same as our bearing inserts (radial ball bearing). The outer bearing surface and the inner housing surface are both spherical for self aligning. Hopefully that helps.
