Hi,

Can you advise the shaft diamter of this motor?

Which of your metal sprockets will best fit this and be compatable with standard cycle bike chains and gears?

I plan to mount this onto a sturdy frame above the rear wheel and couple it upto the rear cluster. I will be disconnecting the pedals.

Also, can you email me the spec graph in higher resolution as its hard to read accurate figures from the web version.

Thanks,
Stuart

Stuart,

The manufacturer does not quote the shaft diameter and without removing the sprocket, we cannot measure it. I would expect it to be 10 or 12mm diameter though.

We are frequently asked if our chains will fit bikes and the answer is no, our chains are all heavier duty then bike chains. If you wish to stick to bike chain, then you would need to source a suitable sprocket and modify it to fit the motor shaft. Best way for that is to take one of our sprockets and fix a bike sprocket to it.

Sorry but the images are the best available from the manufacturer which we agree are not over brilliant.

Hope that helps a bit.

Hi,

Thanks for getting back to me.

I would probably go with a heavier duty chain to take the motor torque.

Just need to work out how best to fit a new cog in the place of the bike gear cluster.

Will probably buy the bits soon, just need to sell a diy gas turbine to pay for motor, controller, etc etc.

Thanks,
Stuart
