A treaded rubber track that is design to be used with our wheels 4603-032 (used in pairs to 'sandwich' the tread). The overall length of the track when used with the specified wheels is 180mm with a width of 30mm. These tracks are also used with the Micro Rover kit.

Sorry but we do not expect the tracks to shrink by heating and would not recommend that you try. We have no other suggestions to make apart from the obvious changes to the mechanical layout or wheel size."

"Ihave just bought a pair of these and they are slightly too big for my needs. I have considered bigger wheels but is there a way of slightly shrinking the rubber, maybe by heating and cooling that might serve my purpose?"

"Shaun, as you are not using our recommended wheels as idlers, it is hard for us to advise. We would recommend using axles of at least 3mm diameter and to have the idlers mounted close to the axle bearings."

"am not sure how to set the idler wheels up so that they can take the correct tension without bending. am guna use 3 idlers. "

There is a rib along the inside centre of the track that should rest in a groove along the drive and idler wheels. Then it is a simple matter of ensuring the correct tension. What mechanical set up are you uisng and how many idler wheels?"
