There are a few different models of Maxi blade fuse holders, the link you provided may well not be the same type.
We have sold this model for a couple of years and a different model for 8 years before that and have never received any customer feedback, good or bad until yours.
The integral cable is 8 AWG and is rated at 80A continuous and also acts as a heatsink. As per our Email to you, what voltage and current are you running at and what is the load type (motor?). "

Since you pointed it out I thought i ought to post a comment to you via the ciorrect method
In searching for a better fuse holder I did find this thread and similar regardign these fuse holders

So it doe not look like I am the only one having problems with them in applications above 30 or so amps.
I guess I'll do as the poster suggests and dump the holders and just use the blade fuses themselves in a female spade terminals.
I still have one of these holders left, so I wil try sanding the coating off the fuse leg to get down to bare metal, so see if that helps.
