We are closed on Monday 27 May for a Spring Bank Holiday. Business as normal from Tuesday 28th.
This is a great fun kit that is sure to grab the interest of your students. When thrown the Frisbee will produce a visual display created by the LEDs on the PCB. At the same time the board can also be programmed so that is will produce a sound or play a tune (requires the addition of piezo element buzzer, not included). When the Frisbee stops spinning the LEDs will turn off and the sound or tune will stop. The Frisbee can be made by vacuum forming.
The kit requires your choice of 8 pin PIC chip (PICAXE or Genie) and optionally a sounder. The kit uses 2x CR2032 coins cells which are included. We stock the PICAXE range of PIC's and recommend the 08M2 (which supersedes the 08M).
This kit includes:
- 1 x 3.5mm PCB mount jack socket
- 3 x 330ohm resistors
- 2 x 10Kohm resistors
- 1 x 22Kohm resistor
- 1 x 5mm green LED
- 1 x 5mm red LED
- 1 x 5mm yellow LED
- 1 x 8 pin IC holder
- 2 x CR2032 coin cell holders
- 2 x CR2032 coin cell batteries
- 2 x tilt switches
- 1 x 10uF capacitor
- 1 x frisbee PCB
PCB dimensions: 71mm x 66mm.
