OK so i exept ive messed up my original plan.(boooooo) So is it possible to get a 38-1 reduction in 3 stages with full length shafts. By that i mean no gears from one stage overlapping the next and fouling the next shaft. Please help me before i go mad.. ![]() |

Yes just like that, looking at that one you can get 3 bearings all on the same level..just what im trying to do. My brain hurts from trying to work out if a shaft(20mm ideally) will clear each stage. I know that a 20mm roller bearing has an outside dia of 26mm so i will need to account for that as well. I was thinking something like 3 stages each using a 12-40 mod2 as a simple version. But that leaves me with the motor as another problem as for a shaft to pass by the motor it will need to have the first stage gear larger than half the motor diameter....confused.? me to. Edit,., based on my basic understanding of this a 12 mod2 on the motor and a 40 mod2 on the shaft, there should be about 5mm clearance along the side of the motor.?? |

I wish to convert rotary motion directly to linear. Does the worm drive 4600-030 mesh with either rack 4600-020 or 4600-023? If not, do you have an alternative system? |

Hi, It will mesh with a MOD 1 rack like 4600-024 or 027. You could also consider 1400-080 linear actuator kit. |
