Hi, I would like to know how i measure a chain to eastablish its size? |

Chains are classified according to their pitch (distance between the centres of two adjacent rollers), roller diameter and the distance between the inner plates. Technobots at the time of writing only supplies British Standard chain in four sizes 6mm, 8mm, 3/8” and ½” (04-1, 05B-1, 06B-1, 08B-1 respectively) where these sizes relate to the pitch. Wayno, You should find the diameters are: 04B-1 is 4mm, 05-1 is 5mm, 06B-1 is 6.35mm & 08B-1 is 8.51mm. Regards Paul |

Shabir, We do not send out samples to individuals although we do to trade customers. We do a few sizes of chain, you are best looking at the dimensions of the chain sprockets to see which best suits your application. Once you have found what size sprockets suit, you can then order the chain to suit. |
