Hello, I hope you can assist with some information about heatshrink products. Your catalogue lists part no.s :- 1151-010 76.2mm black 5x2 Bot-Pack (195mm) 1151-011 76mm black 10x2 Bot-Pack (340mm) 1151-012 106.2mm black 6x3+2 Bot-Pack (249mm) 1151-013 101.6mm black 10x3 Bot-Pack (340mm) 1151-014 76.2mm black 3x2 Bot-Pack (137mm). Apologies for my ignorance, but can you tell me what the 5x2, 10x2, 6x3+2, 10x3 and 3x2 figures refer to? It is unclear from the specs lists. Are any of these products more suited to a higher temperature environment (i.e. in excess of 100degC?). Many thanks, Graham Wheatley. |

Graham, I see the confusion, those refer to the heatshrink size for a range of NiCD battery packs we used to manufacture and have since discontinued. Customers with those battery packs still but the heatshrink to redress their packs if they get damaged or need servicing. We sell the same heatshrink by the metre if that is of interest. The heatshrink starts to shrink at 70 DegC with full recovery a 100 DegC. The working range is then -55 to +125 DegC. |

I am looking for some transparent heatshrink that can be used to protect a populated pcb and lithium ion/poly battery. |Do you have anything suitable. I am concerned that the heat required to shrink would dmage the components or the battery |

We do not stock clear heatshrink but it is a good idea and something that perhaps we should. Was there a particular size and length you were after? |
