"Hesham,

Are you sure they are 40A as they used to be 250W, if they 250W we would recommend the Syren 25 or Sabertooth Dual 25A controller.

If they are 960W, then you really need a new controller from Dimension that we do not stock at the moment which is rated at 2x60A. Even that is a bit tight so would like to know about your application first.

See 'Motor Controllers' then 'Dimension Engineering Controllers' for full information. "

"Hesham,

What makes you think that the MY1016Z2 are brushless? This motor is brushed unless the manufacturer has brought out a new version and kept the original model number. If they are as we believe brushed then we will be able to help with speed controllers."

"Hello, I am working on project to build and develop a mobile robot, and I already have an Arduino Uno microcontroller, four motor Brush-less DC-Motors etc,,,, now the problem is I need motor controllers for the four DC brush-less motors and I'm a bit confused here, FIRST, whether to get four controller ,two controllers or one controller that can control the four of them, please advise me if this is possible.. SECONDLY, what and where can i get the ideal motor controllers and for a reasonable price as well ....

The motors are of the type :
''MY1016Z2'' 24V- 40A

Arduino Uno has 14 pins ( including 6 pwm and 6 analog)"

"Paul,

We must have over 100 geared model motors from many different manufacturers and to many different specifications so there is no single answer to your question.

However, it is unlikely that any model motor will be continuously rated, you may need to go to the industrial market for precision made motors.

Whilst operating the motor at say half its nominal voltage will extend its life by ensuring that it runs cooler (1/4 Power) and at half its nominal speed to reduce mechanical wear will certainly help.

Another source of wear is continually starting / stopping a motor so if your application requires it to be left running, that will help."

"I have model rounabout and the drive has stopped working. Can the motors with gearing that you sell be used continuously.

Regards

Paul"

"Andre,

If you select any of our geared model motors, and then click on the 'Compare Geared Motors' tab, you will be able to see all of our motor specs in one table. If you find a match, you can view the motor by clicking on the part number. The motors come in all different shapes and styles so you may need to look at a number of choices."

"I have made a wood-stove fan using a 60w peltier module and a size B motor part number 1400-021. I don't think it is really suitable ! What do you suggest ??"
