"Burgess,

They are the belt length / circumference as they are based on the number of teeth x belt pitch. "

"The answer may obvious, but I'll ask anyway.
Timing Belts:
Are the measurements given for the length, the full circumference?

"Arttu,

Hard to tell from your description but take a look at 1503-045 Pololu Controller as that might do the job. The servo controller you linked to is certainly not suitable and is a different product / application altogether."

"I got a 24 Vdc proportional valve with a broken controller card. I would use it in a project if I could find a suitable controller. It is controlled by turning a 10 k pot and the position feedback is also a 10 k pot. Do you have a suitable ready PCB for this? Like a http://www.technobotsonline.com/pot-servo-controller.html but with 24 V /0,2 A."

"Andreas,

Sorry but not to our knowledge so we have just removed this product from our site.

"Hi!
Will the RooStick (Item # 8000-667) be available in the next future?
Thanks!"

"Anthony,

Sorry to hear of the problem, looks like our supplier (Sparkfun) has changed this product or incorrectly stated the dimensions. It is 25mm wide and our website has been updated accordingly. We quite understand if you need to return this product and we will refund the letter post cost for the return."

"Ref Invoice 37835.
I have purchased a Lipo Battery PN1065-008 web sit gives dimension as 20mm wide the battery I have received is 25mm wide and will not fit in the model I have purchased it for. Have you sent the correct iten or changed the supplier. Comments please"

"Lee,

We can assist but we are not here to teach or provide a free design service by which I mean you need to carry out your own research. We cannot advise on a motor when all we have to go on is that low rpm and winch a 6.5kg load. Low rpm to me is less than 1000 rpm but to you it might be 2rpm. Similarly, motors quote a torque figure, how much resistance is there from winching the 6.5kg load? You need to figure out the torque required at the required speed.

No problem controlling the motor speed via a dial but the motor has to be sized first which will then dictate the minimum size of motor speed controller.

Again making it programmable is not a problem as far as supplying parts are concerned but you will need a good understanding of microcontrollers such as the Arduino by way of example.

Give us so actual specs required and we can then point you in the right direction. That may well mean you doing research on the subject first.

Don't be discouraged by the above but hopefully it will help you get started."

"Hi, I'm looking to build a motorised camera slider and need a fair amount of advice... I need recommendations for a low rpm/low gear motor that can 'winch' along a 6.5 kilo load - do you stock anything like this? I would also need the ability to control the speed of it via some sort of dial. I would eventually like to also build a pre-programmable 3 axis pan/tilt/yaw head to attach the camera to, is this also something you could advise on and supply parts for? Many thanks!"
