Hi,

I'm planning a 1/10th scale radio control monster truck, and am looking into chain drive. Would I need your metal chain and gears, or would the light duty model making chain be strong enough? Power will be from a 19T 540 size model car motor.

Hi,

Not knowing how heavy or fast your truck is or how quickly it can accelerate / reverse, it is difficult to say for sure. However, I feel the model chain would not last long at all on 540 size motors. 6mm steel chain would be fine and will easily cope on your application.
